We are delighted that Grape & Grain Tours has been selected as an experience provider for The English National Park Experience Collection, a newly launched project showcasing the exceptional landscapes of England’s National Parks. Our Sparkling South Downs tour does just that, taking you into the stunning South Downs National Park to enjoy its breath-taking views and the delectable food and drink produced here.

On our Sparkling South Downs tour, you will taste drinks from three of the region’s top independent producers. Departing from Winchester, we first visit Hambledon Vineyard, the UK’s oldest commercial vineyard for a walk among the vines, a tour of the winery and tasting a selection of their award-winning English Sparkling Wines. The next stop is The Thomas Lord, a beautifully restored traditional village gastropub, where we will enjoy an Upham Brewery beer tasting followed by a delicious two-course lunch. We will finish the day at Winchester Distillery, on the banks of Hampshire’s famous watercress beds, for a tour of the distillery and tasting of their craft gins perfectly paired with chocolates from Winchester Cocoa Company.

Throughout the day, your experienced guide will entertain you with stories of the South Downs’ rich history, while you take in the region’s beautiful scenery - stunning rolling hills, ancient woodland and picture-perfect villages.
